Commercial HVAC Maintenance Plan
Commercial HVAC Maintenance – for most big operations and commercial building owners, it’s a critical part of their overall strategy to protect their investment (their building). However, many small to medium sized operations assume that they can get away with performing HVAC work in house. Yes, there are people with general contracting experience may have the chops to do minor plumbing or electrical work, but the HVAC equipment of today isn’t your mother’s HVAC equipment.
Today’s air conditioners, furnaces, and air purification systems are complex units that require an expert’s eye to spot and fix problems – and many of these systems actually require regular maintenance in order to validate the HVAC System’s Manufacturer warranties. Furthermore, entering into an HVAC maintenance agreement isn’t expensive once you look at all the benefits such an agreement can afford you.
It’s a no brainer: an HVAC professional needs to perform regular maintenance to ensure all of your HVAC equipment is running properly. Without regular maintenance, small problems can quickly become costly emergencies. If you have multiple locations with different types of HVAC equipment, you’re going to need multiple maintenance visits. Our advice is to make sure you know how many visits your commercial HVAC maintenance agreement covers. If you’re not aware, you could be charged for extra visits that aren’t included in your agreement.
#2 Emergency Services
If you don’t have an agreement in place and an emergency arises, you’re stuck contacting a company that isn’t familiar with your system. You’ll also most likely be paying more for the service call, repairs, and replacement equipment. If you do have an agreement in place, you will be afforded special considerations. Here at CW Suter Services, we offer 24 hour commercial HVAC repair, and we’re happy to answer the phone when you call. If your commercial air conditioning system decides to break down at 4 a.m. on a holiday, don’t sweat it; we have you covered.
When you have an HVAC maintenance agreement, you can rest assured that your systems will be properly taken care of by experts in the field. Our HVAC technicians are trained and certified in all of the most recent technologies with HVAC applications, including topics like Green Building and LEED certification, Building Automation Systems, and energy efficiency technologies. They also have the opportunity to build upon their extensive knowledge through a registered apprentice program called Suter University.
What does that mean for you? It means that if your furnace breaks down in the middle of winter, you can count on us to identify and remedy the problem in a timely manner. It also means that our HVAC experts are able to spot problems during routine maintenance that the untrained eye can’t see.
By this time, hopefully you’ve decided that your company needs a commercial HVAC agreement, but now what? Now, you need to find an HVAC contractor / HVAC company you can trust. In our next installment of the HVAC Commercial Agreement series, we’ll be discussing how you to identify a trustworthy, BBB Accredited, HVAC company, what questions to ask, and the questions they should be asking you.
