Chad Gravenish: Fun Facts
I grew up in Marcus, Iowa, and moved to Remsen in 2003.
What’s your family like?
I am married to my beautiful and amazing wife, Monica for 15 years. We have two daughters: MacKenzie is 19, and Maci is 13; and one son, Caleb, who is 11. On August 30th we became grandparents to a handsome boy, Hayden. And, can’t forget our 14 year old dog, Joey.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my free time I attend my kids sporting events, golf, bowl, play cards, watch the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Iowa State Cyclones and gaze at the stars at night with my beautiful wife. 🙂
Do you have a personal moto, or favorite quote that inspires you?
“God, Family and the Green Bay Packers in that order” – Vince Lombardi
Do you have a personal hero?
My dad is my hero. He has shown me how to be dependable and hardworking.
My favorite movies are the original National Lampoon Vacation and Training Day.

Favorite Band or Musician?
Anything from the 70’s and everything my beautiful wife likes to listen to, so mainly Garth Brooks!
If your best friend had to describe you in 3 words, what would those 3 words be?
Hardworking, dependable and fun
And how would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Competitive, great-sense-of-humor (smash it together to make it one word!), devoted
If you could choose to have any superpower, what would it be?
I would love to have the superpower of flying because this way I could get to and home from work faster!
Are you involved in any community clubs or organizations?
I am the vice-president of the Remsen Golf Course board, member of the Remsen Youth Bowling board, and help coach my kids little league baseball, softball and football teams.
How long have you been working here?
At the end of October (2017) I will have been with CW Suter Services for 15 years.
Explain your role at CW Suter Services:
I became the Operations Manager about a year ago. I make sure all jobs/projects get done on schedule and budget. I assist in the day-to-day projects to make sure they have the equipment and manpower to get the project done.
And what did you do before that?
I was an apprentice and then became a project superintendent.
What is the hardest part of your work day?
Getting up for work 😉
What’s the best part of your job?
Seeing projects from start to finish.
Do you have a proudest moment at CW Suter Services?
Managing projects from start to finish and delivering a high quality product with exceptional service. This is something that I pride myself on – we all do. It’s part of working at CW Suter.
